Artist Biography:
Charles Ernest Butler born 10th October 1864 at St. Leonards On Sea, Sussex. Landscape, portrait and figure painter. Studied at St. John's Wood School of Art and RA Schools. Lived in London. Died in 1933
Some of his principal works include the titles, Dawn of of Peace, Blood and Iron and Return of the Prodigal.
Exhibited 22 at the Royal Academy from 1889, 12 at The London Salon and 1 at The Walker Gallery, Liverpool.
